Andy's Arcade

Andy's Arcade is a fictional Arcade/Restaurant that I created the identity, branding and website for. Pixel art is a staple in the design as it reinforces the ideas of arcades and games. Andy the robotic mascot was given large eyes and baby-like proportions to better engage the younger targeted demographic.

Identity

The main components of Andy's Arcade's identity are pixel art and Andy himself. Custom pixel type and pixel icons were created to drive the pixel theme further. And Illustrations of Andy let him live on each asset of the arcade. The colors chosen for this youth oriented business are bright and highly saturated colors.

Website

Andy's website is a four page site, home, menu, games, and info. The home page is the lading page informing users what the arcade is. The Menu page lets users see what they can expect when they arrive at the arcade. The Games page is populated with games to play, this will give users a reason to come back to the site and be reminded of Andy's Arcade. And lastly the Info page gives the phone number, location, and other means of contacting Andy's Arcade.

The website was designed to shrink width without changing height. Because of this the type stays at a consistent 16pt and 14pt. Columns have been designed to fit into eachother and the max width of the left column ensures that the left and right sides will not overlap. Designed for mobile first, then expanded to fill the columns.

Being an arcade, games are central to the experience of the customer. Letting people play games on the website is sure to keep some customers constantly coming back to the site and thinking about Andy's arcade.
